St. Theresa School is located in the Lockerby area in the South End of Sudbury. The school was built in 1953 and an addition was made in 1968.

The school has a population of approximately 170 students. St. Theresa is a French Immersion Center.

The school houses an After Four Program run by the Leisure Department of the City. It also opens its doors to several community groups such as boy scouts, girl guides, square dance and exercise classes.

Students enjoy many extra-curricular activities. These include a comprehensive house league program. Teams participate in various tournaments throughout the year. The school partakes in the Math Challenge and has an active Chess Club. Students from various grades visit the Walford Seniors' Centre annually.

Because of the close proximity to Science North, students frequently enjoy workshops there. The Arts are an important part of the curriculum and are promoted through formal dance lessons taught by experts in our community. Students attend many plays both at the Sudbury Theatre Centre and at Marymount College.

Our school enjoys a healthy partnership with the School Council, with everyone working hard to achieve our common goals. Parents also serve on many committees and assist at many functions where their expertise and support are invaluable.

The spirit of cooperation and collaboration as well as diligence and dedication from staff, parents and community ensure that our students are given every opportunity to experience success.
